On 8/7/2015 I walked into the F.O.P. on Beach Blvd because an Estate Sale was going on in the back of the building. And the first thing I saw as I walked into the F.O.P. building was a T-Shirt that said "BLUE LIVES MATTER." :-\ Funny I thought All Lives Matter.
Lion lives matter
If they can raise some money for some policemen's families left behind after tragedy good for them. I won't bother to poke at them for trying to politically create a spin that somehow the Black Lives matter campaign insinuates other lives do not matter.

Freedom of speech works both ways I'm simply reporting what t-shirt I saw at the Jacksonville Florida F.O.P.
Wow...very telling, actually.

Lion lives matter
The Detroit Lions have a blue lion on their helmet. And Detroit is the largest city in the USA with a black-majority population. I think I need to get Art Bell on the phone...
By way of telepathy, Art already knows.
TC1 I like the post I hope I didn't come off as if I was saying that you shouldn't make that observation.

Thanks I did take it that way. Sometimes it's harder to get my point across in a forum then is is talking on a phone or face to face. :)
The Birmingham cop who got pistol whipped by a POS hesitated to shoot because he didn't wanna be labeled 'a racist' ala Darren Wilson by the stupid-ass liberal lame-stream media. If it was me, I would've blown his ass away, then had a steak later. I guess that he did 'the right thing' right liberals?? Damn right, I said liberals, because that's the problem here. This country's values have gotten extremely immoral; The place where violent criminals lives are more important than cops and decent citizens. 'All lives matter' is bullshit; Violent criminals lives (of any race) don't matter IMO. Why should they?? Eff 'em.

When most people say All Lives Matter it mainly means people who don't break the law. IMO :)
^^^Well if that's the case, I agree.

Please explain how the country has gotten more immoral?
When people are protesting, are they protesting police shooting and killing imminently violent criminals?
Or, are you saying that it's better for an officer to kill someone just in case they are a violent criminal?
It's better to shoot first then ask questions later. Is this what you are saying?
If officers across this country are saying that they have to think twice before they "engage their fire arms", is that a bad thing?
I really wish you cared more about America.
There is a wide berth between "thinking twice", hestitation and "shooting first, asking questions later."
If this detective shot this suspect, and the shooting was caught on film, would it have led to all sorts of internet outrage and memes...? Probably.
If the dectective said "I was scared he would overpower and take my weapon, then beat me with it", would the responses would have been rolling eyes and talk about how an unarmed man cannot be dangerous...? Probably.
On the other hand, police are not only paid to make the hard decision, but also to explain it.
For a very harsh example of fatal hestitation, refer to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8-ycSkoYfc

All the recent protests and complaints are not a bad thing though especially in North Charleston after that incident, that one was messed up. I bet there may be discussions going on within departments that weren't going on before as a result of recent events that may help prevent future incidents like that one.
However, with that said, there should be similar discussions going on within the communities and general public . . . if you get approached by an officer or group of officers, use common sense. If you're innocent, don't talk back to them, don't start insulting them, and don't reach into your pockets or run! There are ways to report bad police behavior and I'll bet the officer records are getting more transparent as the result of recent events. If you knew how many police officers are killed each year in the line of duty you might start to understand why some of them are a little jumpy. Anybody see the Gainesville dude get shot by the police recently? They were telling him to get on the ground and he starts running away and reaching into his pocket. I have not seen or heard of any protest of their actions in that case and I'm glad to see that. The guy had just robbed a store and had a weapon on him.

Super-yawn...It's always either you or Stephen with these type of questions; I swear that yall are the same person (political-wise).

Anyhoo, steering the conversation away from silly bickering and back towards a conversation...
A situation like that detective's was bound to happen and be documented/reported, but now that it has, I think it will be referred to at the next shooting of an unarmed person.
Two points I see in this conversation is that people tend to gravitate, regardless of evidence, to the side assigned to their political belief or person experience (the police disappointed/helped me on x date, therefore all police all likely to be the same) and a usually complete misunderstanding of the speed and dynamics of an unarmed fight.

Well stick this feather in your cap Akira the reason so many people complain about the police is so many feel they're above the laws just because they wear a badge. Case in point a black man ran from the JSO in Baldwin on 8/17/2015. A stupid move by this suspect for sure. Then after the suspect jumped a fence. And the JSO officer I'm sure telling the man to stop. The man made a turn and the officer thought he was going for a gun? This suspect is lucky to be alive today because the shots fired missed the suspect or nicked him. A witness said on channel 4 news I don't know why the officer shot at the man? It is sad this Alabama detective was hurt and I hope they have caught the suspect.
