By 2014, that percentage had fallen to 54.5 percent, as the chains' growth stagnated and concepts like Starbucks, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Buffalo Wild Wings have grown.

Funny. For the record, McDonald's was the parent company that founded Chipotle.

Actually, Chipotle was founded by Steve Ells, in Denver in 1993.  In 1998, McDonald's made its first investment in the company, and by 2001 it was a majority shareholder.  They sold their stake in 2006.
