Stephen Dare: Why I am voting for Mike Williams

The choice for Sheriff seems clearcut. Mike Williams has the experience and the skill set to lead the Sheriff's Office. Stephen Dare makes the case for a pretty conservative guy to take over the top cop job.

I think he is the guy. I've talked to my police friends and done my own research. He's a stand up guy with a lot of experience. He can bring the JSO into the future.
^ from the officers I have spoken to, it seems to be about 50/50 on Williams vs. Jefferson.
I like both men and believe either one will be a good sheriff. The concern I have had with Mike Williams is his initial statements that made him seem like a "status quo...nothing wrong with what Rutherford is doing" kind of guy. I am glad to see that his statements have modified somewhat in recent weeks.
That said, I still proudly cast my vote for Ken Jefferson.

I don't really believe that he thinks any change is needed other then adding more cops and of course no one has said how they will do that. Voted for Jefferson that being said I don't think he would be a bad sheriff but if we are going to move forward in this city I feel like we need someone in tune with the whole city.
