Urban Connectivity: FCCJ's Downtown Campus

The modern college campus is changing. As available space decreases on urban campuses, schools are recognizing the wisdom of intergrating campuses into the surrounding urban envirnoment. In recent years there has been a visible blurring of town and campus, as urban densities becomes a 21st century reality. As a consequence, there is a growing demand for a more creative use of space. Locally, Jacksonville may not have a major urban university in it's core, but it does have a few places of higher learning, including one sitting in the heart of downtown, forming a major part of the barrier that separates downtown from Springfield... Florida Community College at Jacksonville (FCCJ).

Of course, I won't say any wrong about the 70s design. It doesn't look so bad.
Where'd you get the photos for:
1) the natural foods store under "the solution" heading
2) the conceptual drawing of the "urban classroom building" above the photo of UPenn's bookstore.
3) the very last one with the fresh grocery market.
Sorry for so many questions, I'm really curious.
Definately a websearch at the time for the natural foods store image. I personally took images of the UPenn bookstore and the fresh grocery market garage (its near UPenn's campus), but these may have came from a google image search on those topics as well.

hey thanks for the reply. I was actually wondering where the pictures were taken.
So, i'm still curious where (1) that natural foods store is and (2) the conceptual drawing that looks very similar to the Penn bookstore.
Thanks again. I just like imagining where these photos are and putting it into context of what I know or have seen of these cities.
There are a few City College campuses in San Francisco and the building in the rendering hasn't been constructed, so I can't identify the exact site. However, I did pull aerials of the other two and highlight the buildings in red.

I really like the Plaza Towers. Iowa City! Who would've guessed! There's just something about that store front at street level that looks so inviting.

I was gonna comment on how that looks like it's a pedestrian street out front. But first I looked it up...and yeah, turns out that's the "pedestrian plaza."
I thought I remembered an article on FSCJ connectivity, and I found it!
Has anyone else noticed the tall metal fence that FSCJ has been installing along the whole stretch of sidewalk bordering State Street? Is this really what Jacksonville has become? We fence in our public schools, our public colleges, our public parks, our churches, our homes, our businesses, our parking lots, etc! I mean c'mon! I've never before lived in a city that was so in love with fences. What image does this portray to visitors and what does it say about the residents who live here? I'm deeply saddened. Humanity has lost all common sense, at least here in Jacksonville. :(
I go to that collage, I say throw that fence up faster :/
