I know.  I remember that about GWB and remember thinking what a shame.  You are correct on your analysis.

But, if you actually read THIS story, you can see the guy was actually PRO-dems.  The art is about the assasination of their characters.  Which really applies to everyone who runs for office.  Cool sites though.

Seems like a clever way to get some free press.  Anyway, as long as its his property or he has approval from the property's owner and is not violating any city ordinances he should be allowed to keep it up.

Interesting. Can you imagine the reaction had that artist done that in Jax?

Probably very similar to the reaction it had in NYC, dont you think?

I don't know. I had thought NY was more receptive to controversial art but I guess that guy found their threshold. When I think of stuff like that here (and I wish we were progressive enough to have artists like that doing stuff like that here) it always reminds me of the whole Vagina Monologues/ Hoo-Ha Monologues thing. I could just see people here really, really freaking out here watching a blown up photo of a huge penis going down the streets of downtown only to find out that it's part of a Barack Obama art scene. NY? Not so shocking. Here? Lol. Can't you just see first coast news frothing at the mouth over something like that?
