Surprised nobody has posted about this. For the second time in a decade a major fire ripped through the Pecan Park flea market. Looks like the entire middle section has burned to the ground. Considering they never rebuilt the section that burned down last time I wonder if this is the end for the flea market.
There were lots of comments on the story on the News4Jax website...some interesting, some downright mean and nasty. Gotta love people, right?
I saw a lot of people saying they lost 50k or 80k in merchandise and they had no insurance because it was expensive. Well, how expensive is it to lose 80K ? Not trying to be mean, but you knew that there was a fire there before. Why gamble with that?

From what I understand, most insurance companies would not/will not insure an open air market like most of the booths were, but they will cover lockable "store-like" booths. That's just what I was reading in the comments on the N4J site.

Just N4J being N4J...
Then again............who is to say it was really $50k to $80k worth of stuff. Inventory lists, shipping tickets, Invoices...........Most of it is cash purchase with variable value.
