In the midst of Mayor Alvin Brown's re-election bid, a deputy campaign manager has left his team.
Fabien Levy was the deputy campaign manager and communications director for Brown up through the March 24 election, when Brown won 43 percent of the vote, setting the stage for a May 19 contest with second-place finisher Lenny Curry.
Levy arrived in late January in Jacksonville and acted as the spokesman for Brown's campaign.

QuoteLevy's departure "was very amicable," said Joshua Karp, who is communications director for the Florida Democratic Party.
It was all rainbows and candy canes, yeah sure. ::)
It became clear in February that the campaign was not running on all cylinders. Additional people were brought in, but Levy stayed on for continuity. With 6 weeks before the runoff, there is now time to adjust.
Ha. If only Brown put this much effort into getting his administration running on all cylinders, he wouldn't be in this position.

When it rains it pours. Mayor Brown can't stand the heat, so he's vacating the kitchen. Where are all those I'm With Alvin campaigners???????
Just more vacated leadership at the top. I hope you folks are proud of your elected official, 4 years later. More at 11.
Fundraiser Greg Goddard also has left the Brown campaign.
