The title of this thread comes from a friend who made the statement after seeing my fb post about this mascot. Yes, it's a trash can and yes someone though this was a good idea. My understanding is it came into being as a part of the effort of Denise Lee and others and is the "mascot" to fight blight. What it cost or who came up with the idea I have not investigate yet but I do know how this should be categorized. It should be filed in the "someone needs their head examined" file of local mascots.
This thing needs to be put in a closet and kept there, not promoted. Lord have mercy Jacksonville. A trashcan!

Fight Blight because it's right.
2015-377 Active legislation. Introduced by Yarborough and Jones both term limited out.
That old Don't trash Jacksonville commercial reminded me of the Everest Commercial that aired years later; Both 'hard hitting & edgy'. LMAO

Heh wasn't there a loud mouth one too? "HEY YOU, LITTER TOSSIN TRASH MAKING GARBAGE FACE! DON'T TRASH JACKSONVILLE!"
It was something along those lines but I can't find anything online about it.
