JACKSONVILLE, FL (March 20, 2015) - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will host a Gun Buyback event* on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Evangel Temple Assembly of God located at 5755 Ramona Boulevard.
Citizens will receive $50 in cash for each firearm they turn in at the event that appears to be functional.
For the third time, a $50 match will be made to the Police Athletic League of Jacksonville for every firearm turned in at the event. The PAL donation is made possible through the Delores Barr Weaver Fund at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida.
Individuals who are handing in a firearm are reminded to please transport the firearm unloaded and in the trunk of their vehicle.
