The company known for its high-tech gadgets filed for bankruptcy in February and was bought at bankruptcy auction on May 29 by Hilco Merchant Resources LLC and Gordon Brothers Retail Partners LLC.

American Apparel will be a good addition to SJTC.
Anyone know what else is coming to SJTC? I heard some new stores were still coming in addition to another Pub style eatery (locally owned) - I cannot confirm, however.
Honestly, I cant believe that The Sharper Image stayed open as long as it did.

American Apparel is a great company. I would love to see one open in Jax.

what gives you that impresson? Last I heard they were going to the Avenues Walk, which in my opinion seems like an unlikely place for them; but none of the renderings (including the recent ones) state that.

I hadn't heard that. But there is a space next to Mimi's that was originally supposed to be Ruby Tuesday.
Ruby Tuesday = HOAT
HOAT = that noise you make when gagging about to throw up.
RT has been keeping a low profile it seems... until lately I've seen some NEW Ruby Tuesday commercials that poke fun at other restaurants in their category (TGIFridays, Applebee's, Chili's). One where the guy pops up from behind the booth and replaces a Tiffany-esque lamp (found in almost all of the aforementioned restaurants with their nostalgic miscellaneous yard sale knickknacks nailed to the walls) with a more modern Target-esque one lol. Maybe they've found some extra change in their pockets and they'll actually fulfill the blueprints of SJTC circa 2005... but i won't hold my breath.
