Here is the information on Jacksonville and its not pretty:

Percentage of incomes under $25,000: 25.7%
Percentage of population with bachelor's degree: 25.5%
Percentage of incomes over $150,000: 6.2% (#24)
Total population: 829,721

As compared to the poorest city in America, Detroit, the new standard in poverty....

Percentage of incomes under $25,000: 48.0%
Percentage of population with bachelor's degree: 12.7%
Percentage of incomes over $150,000: 1.9% (#34)
Total population: 706,663

If we only had a downtown in Jacksonville, we would be ranked higher on the list. So good and bad in the numbers, but will the "I'm With Alvin" crowd take the link bait and run with it or will Curry?

I wouldn't call it doomsday either. Cities that many would consider 'good company' is worst off than us in this category. So much for that recent Milwaukee hype train.
