Title: Lighting downtown
Post by: jaxjaguar on February 10, 2015, 08:25:36 PM
I know Jacksonville has plenty of other things to worry about, but one major reason I hear, from friends, for not wanting to go downtown is due to the lack of lighting... I recently stumbled across this photo album and it made me think about how little light there is downtown and how little color there is outside of Laura street. Is there any cost effective way to fix this and to help beautify our downtown?

Lighting improvements are one of the items that the new DIA plan anticipates being done in the first year of their new plan just being approved.

Makes me think of this, which I was fortunate enough to experience last fall.
