Port Tampa Bay is looking to grow its containerized cargo business — where it's now fifth in the state — in part by capturing cargo going to other Florida ports, specifically Jacksonville.

Tampa, in comparison, handled the equivalent of 42,198 20-foot containers in the same time period.
Alfonso said that Tampa "absolutely" is looking to take car and container business from Jacksonville.
"They don't have land to expand," he said. "Brunswick, Georgia, has been taking a lot of business away from Jaxport."

right now Tampa gets about 4% of the container traffic JaxPort gets.....so yeah, let them double their container traffic to 100,000 TEUs....that shouldn't make much of a dent here.
I'd be more worried about the cars...we have already lost some to Brunswick over the past few years and Port Tampa Bay has room to accommodate them
