Post by: thelakelander on May 28, 2008, 08:42:05 AM
Its not a good day for driving on the Westside of town.  Makes you wish there was a commuter rail service featuring express trains for rush hour, like the one in this link.

Posted: Wednesday, May 28th, 2008 at 7:09 am

A crash with with injuries on Interstate 10 near the Stockton Street exit has traffic snarled up to Cassat Avenue. Motorists can expect a 15-20 minute wait.

There are two more morning wrecks with injuries on Monument Road and Lee Road and New Kings Road and Old Kings Road, but congestion has thinned out near both crash sites.

A malfunctioning traffic light has traffic at a stand-still on Blanding Boulevard near Interstate 295 southbound. Early reports have said it’s taking 70 minutes to reach I-295 from College Street. Authorities estimate the traffic will let up in about 45 minutes.

Jacksonville drivers can expect the usual delays on I-10, I-295 and Butler Boulevard.
