Calling it a "highly requested flight," Silver Airways is starting nonstop service between Jacksonville International Airport and Pensacola International Airport.
The flights, which start March 19, will operate Monday through Friday and have continuing service to Fort Lauderdale -- Silver's third direct flight there from Pensacola.
"Our new flights between Jacksonville and Pensacola are another example of our continued commitment to providing easy and convenient intra-state travel options for Florida residents and visitors," Silver Airways CEO Sami Teittinen said in a statement. "We look forward to offering even more business and leisure travelers the convenience of flying over driving."
Introductory fares will be $69 one way for flyers buying before Jan. 22 for travel before May 22.

This will be a highly used flight by Mayo-Jacksonville employees & patients.  Since they signed a partnership with Baptist Health-Pensacola, there is a lot of patient traffic now between the 2 cities due to referrals.

As of now, its a bounce flight on Delta via ATL.

I hope this one sticks for Silver.
