Title: The face of "Florida Not All Aboard"
Post by: JFman00 on November 10, 2014, 04:06:34 PM
Until just a few months ago, Kasey Carol "K.C." Traylor knew nothing about trains.

But now the stay-at-home mom from Palm City could probably tell you everything you need to know about double-tracking, quiet zones or the decibel level of locomotive horns.  (http://wlrn.org/post/why-treasure-coast-mom-wants-stop-all-aboard-florida-dead-its-tracks?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=FBWLRN4355)

Almost certainly a paid shill.

Almost certainly a paid shill.

No, not a paid shill. She has been at it for some time now.

I personally give her kudos because she actually went out and got educated on the issues around the project. This was the opposite of the true shills who were loud and misinformed and made for good news copy, but lousy source of good information.

My argument with many of the objectors is their lack of information or positions based on weird paranoid conspiracy theories.

Up to now, most of her arguments have some substance, enough to seek some improvements from AAF, but not enough to stop or block the whole thing.

I hope she keeps AAF on their toes. I think AAF really wants to run a good service, but like all corporate entities, they need to show responsiveness to their surroundings.

I just read their site, her site, and the article... Sorry to say that from a railroad prospective, the arguments have more holes in them then a screen door.
