Has anyone been watching CH 18.1, called "MeeMeeTV:"

I'm not sure if comcast has it but you can get it with rabbit ears. Anyway, it's 100% local content. A lot of rap music videos, but there's some shows on there too. From what I can tell you upload a video to their website and they put it on the air. Lots of garbage, but pretty neat concept.

It's basically like those old public access channels. Absolutely no quality control w/r/t content. Terrible, locally made horror movies and whatnot.

Found a bit more info on it:

It's a new opportunity for local talent to show off their skills on a brand new television platform for the First Coast.

"MeeMeeTV" is the brainchild of Kathryn McAvoy, CEO of the city's Performers Academy.

"There's a lot of talent here on the First Coast, and we plan to showcase it on television," she said.

Mee Mee TV Jax will air on local digital channel 18.1 and feature all things Duval—from local performers, to bands, to film shorts and more.

McAvoy has built a studio behind the Performers Academy, which offers classes for budding actors, singers, dancers and filmmakers.

"Now the television piece will bring it all together," she said. "We're going to showcase some amazing talent."

Open auditions to appear on Mee Mee TV are set for this Saturday, March 8th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Performers Academy at 3674 Beach Blvd.

"The audition is television," said McAvoy. "Just like on American Idol, if you show up to audition, it will be on TV!"

I've also caught Metro Jacksonville-produced videos on there.

Is it worse than any of the following:
Cupcake Wars
Garage Wars
Whale Wars
Parking Wars
Boarder Wars
Road Wars
Storage Wars
Robot Wars
Cocaine Wars
Turf War
Shipping Wars

No problem, they have a few chans on there, 18.4 (or maybe 18.5) is weird weird old B&W films, so obscure they must be royalty free.
