Ok, this is going to sound like a strange question. We just got a TV capable of watching TV on for the first time in 5 or 6 years (our previous TV was basically a display screen for our Xbox 360). We got a digital antenna, does anyone know the channel to watch the Jags on? And possibly FL-GA? There seem to be multiple WJXT channels.
Most Jags games (and Fla/Ga) will be on CBS 47.1
Cool, thanks.

This site also offers weekly maps detailing what games are being showed where. (The maps for week 9 are not up yet, but Jags games are usually on 47.1.)
EDIT: What copperfiend said, but it's worth noting the London game is airing on Fox 30.1.
Under the legislation that opened the door for hi def TV, broadcasters were allowed to broadcast on sub bands inside their allocated channel spectrum.
This is why you see multiple channels associated to a single broadcast call sign.
Technically it is possible under 8VSS (the US digital format name) for a broadcaster to use a higher definition for their primary content, but they would have to stop broadcasting on one of these sub bands during that time.
Commercially you will never see much over 720p or 1024i in broadcast resolution. PBS has created 1024p content but I am not aware if WJCT has ever carried it.
Unless you really need to see Erin Andrews acne or a wart on Robin Thickes' left cheek, the value of going higher only has value when watching BluRay's of the Avengers.
4.1 is the station that rebroadcasts games locally that air on cable (Thursday, December 18th vs Houston)
I think we'll eventually see commercial broadcasts go past 720p, but not until someone besides a Saudi oil prince can afford a 100" 4K OLED TV.
Awesome, thanks everyone for the help. Clearly I've been out of the loop on this for a long time. It's cool to finally get to see the Jags again in my own house (without paying for cable we don't want).
Be sure and thank Mr. Kahn for doing away with local blackouts the next time you see him.
^^^So Khan is buying up tickets for 2014? Sources???

No.
I think he meant due to the upgrades he's brought. Weaver / Khan haven't purchased any tickets since the 2006 season. Ticket sales / attendance this year have been very strong. We're 21st out of 32 teams (ahead of Pittsburgh and Chicago... just behind Seattle and Indy who are 18th and 20th)
My bad, sorry about that. :-[
Although we're doing relatively well (ahead of Tampa Bay), one of the stats that glows in the dark for me is the fact that Tennessee (Nashville) and Carolina (Charlotte) are both sold out of season tickets.

Hopefully we generate enough excitement from the level of play on the field over the next year or two so that we, too, sell out our allotment of season tickets.
^^^Interesting that you mention Tennessee and Carolina. I was thinking about them recently. Those teams have an entire state(s) to themselves, and they cater to that with the state names. That would be roughly an equivalent if Florida had one NFL team named the 'Florida Manatees' that played in centrally located Orlando.
Just like the Port in Savannah; It's not so much of a 'Savannah vs Jacksonville' thing, but more of a Georgia vs Jacksonville thing.

Tennessee and Carolina's stadia were built with personal seat licenses. You had to pay a substantial amount for a PSL just for the opportunity to buy season tickets. That strong incentive to continue to invest in the sunk cost of the PSL essentially guarantees sellouts.
