QuoteFormer Mayor Tommy Hazouri said Wednesday he will run for a seat on the Jacksonville City Council next spring.

Wow!  At-Large 3 has the largest number of candidates, of the At-Large races:
Besides Tommy -
Mincy Pollock
Greg Tison
Mike Weinstein
Jesse Wilson
Geoff Youngblood

Plus four listed as "withdrawn"

I don't think Weinstein is running. I believe he pullled out to run for the Elections position currently held by term limited Holland if I remember correctly.

I would imagine that number will get reduced with Hazouri in the ring.

Youngblood is a very scary candidate and just about anyone is better than him.
From what I have heard he will do nothing but hold this city back.

Weinstein's out, I'm pretty sure he's going to run for Public Defender in the next cycle. Both Weinstein and Hazouri would do well for us in that seat.

Weinstein is definatly out.  No one is taking Wilson seriously and no one knows who Pollock is.

What is interesting is that Republican Tison is using the same consultant that Democrat Hazouri used for his School Board races.  A consultant that has a reputation for jumping ship when things get tough.  Time will tell if he sticks around.

Youngblood is scary and reckless and seems to be running his own campaign.

Hazouri has to be considered the front runner.
