Title: Best Sushi
Post by: RaylanLongmire on September 26, 2014, 01:15:53 AM
Sushi is almost on every corner in Jacksonville, or so it seems. My favorite place for sushi though has to be Kazu in Mandarin, it's near the Carrabas in e same strip.

Very interesting rolls and the owner is pretty cool too. I urge everyone to give it a try..

Anybody have any other suggestions for some really good sushi? I'm thinking Hole in the wall kind of places...

I've been to Kazu, it's delicious. Amazingly the place is never that busy when I've gone in there. It would be packed with a line out the door in riverside, it's that good.

Hana Yori off Beach near Hodges is very good.  Probably my favorite in Jax

It's not in Jacksonville, but my favorite place for sushi is Fusion Point on San Marco Ave in St. Augustine.

Sushiko in Avondale is my favorite. Awesome service, creative rolls, and awesome prices.
I've been to Japan, tried the sushi at Tsukiji Fish Market, and although nothing in JAX comes even close to that, Sushiko is my favorite.

The best sushi I have had in Jax, and I eat it often, is at Philips sushi on Philips Hwy between Steak and Shake and the movie theater.  Everyone I've ever taken there, it has become their favorite place too. The "Sleeping Beauty" roll is awesome! Crazy Sushi in Tinseltown is pretty good also.

Yummy sushi on southside.  My opinion is based upon rolls with raw fish, and not "krab" or cooked seafood. I know this sounds like I'm stating the obvious, but I'm just not a California roll kind of guy.

Spicy girl, fire and incredible rolls are all great.
