Title: Corrine Brown for President!
Post by: TheCat on September 15, 2014, 04:40:12 PM
This is a refreshing interview with a politician.

It's funny, entertaining, poignant and matter of fact.

I had totally bought into the knee-jerk hype surrounding Brown. She won me over in this interview with Rick Mullaney.

No thanks, I have no desire to hear anything she says.

This has to be a joke, right?  No wait, this is the Metro Jax forum.  People here really do think and believe this way.  God, we are in real trouble in this country.

Scary isn't it? Corrine is everything that's wrong with congress. She's the reason we need term limits! Wasting out taxes since 1985!!!! She's really the worst of the worst.
She's constantly playing the race card.
Abusing our taxes with her sandbag scandal ( http://jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/082308/met_322010783.shtml ).
She also likes to waste time and taxes showing off her speaking skills:

Seriously folks, it doesn't get worse than this.

That's a funny video.

But those immediately criticizing Corrine in this thread have not listened to the interview, I assume, which was the point of my post. The interview was unexpectedly refreshing.

Don't worry, she's not running for President.  ::)

Was wondering how long it would take for someone to post this little nugget of intellectual discourse.

changing tracks.

Posting political videos that make you go "hmmm".

There's nothing really funny about this, it's just weird. It's more fun watching the people in the background.

It has the same vibe as three grade schoolers deciding to make a video and, you know, each of them have to get a turn to talk about Egypt.

It ends up getting a bit more "hmmm" at 11 minutes in when Bachmann starts talking again. Essentially, she says we don't agree with Obama to the Egyptians. They took their politics international! Kinda subversive.

Apache, thanks for your response.

I think she has valid points about her district and why it should remain as it is. She certainly feels it is an attempt to disenfranchise the black vote.

and Mullaney's "...yes, ma'am..." after one of her passionate moments is hilarious.

She's impassioned about people holding politicians accountable and that we should demand an explanation of a politicians issue perspectives instead of just allowing the politician to pander.
