I was driving over the Fuller Warren today and noticed there is a new sign going up at one of the buildings in the Fidelity complex. It read "Black Knight Financial Services". Anyone have an idea about what's going on or if they're bringing any new jobs?

They have been in that complex for sometime. Think there just putting that name on the top now.

That makes sense. As I recall it took several month for the Everbank sign to be put up when they moved. But is it another branch of Fidelity or it's own separate company?

Its a branch
Black Knight is the new name for what was Lender Processing Services (LPS).
^^Yup, here's their website.
www.bkfs.com
LPS took a rap because some of their subsidiaries were caught facilitating the mortgage scam. Plus they are mostly run by former Metavante people today. Also included in this is some of large shareholders/former directors are infatuated with stock inversions and spinoffs. So to sum it all up they decided to change their name after a chess piece. Eliminates any ties to past sins.
You need a literal scorecard to list out how many name changes, spinoffs, mergers and integrations they have done just in the past 10 years.
If they put as much energy into employee morale and benefits that they put into corporate legoland, they should become a great firm.
