QuoteAlthough Jacksonville City Hall has been planning for years to install art outside the Duval County Courthouse, it never actually had enough of the money that was supposed to pay for it, city officials said Tuesday.
Now, the city must find funding elsewhere in order to complete the installation, which was budgeted for $897,880. Plans for the art were the result of the 1997 Art in Public Places ordinance, which calls for a small portion of new construction projects' costs to be set aside for public art.
