Title: Any open mic nights for comedy in Jacksonville?
Post by: pierre on July 21, 2014, 08:48:27 AM
I was watching a program that showed an open mic night at a club in Chicago.

It got me thinking. Is there an open mic night at any clubs in Jacksonville? Anybody know?

Tapa That in Riverside hosts an open mic on Sunday Nights.  There is music from 6:30-9 or so then stand up comedy.  The restaurant is not open for dinner, but there is a bar and occasionally small snacks to purchase.  Sometimes you will find a local artist set up selling their wares as well.  I have been a few times and always enjoyed myself.  https://www.facebook.com/OpenDoorSundays

I'm not sure if every Sunday is open mic night, but I'm pretty sure all you have to do is email him to get on the list - Brian Foley (http://brianjfoley.net/about/), who is also a law professor at FCSL, does Comedy Sundays at Three Layers in Springfield. He's great! He's also a MJ poster - believe his name is "funny"
