Title: Hello from a North Shore Poet
Post by: gmpalmer on May 07, 2008, 06:56:06 PM
Howdy everyone (Steve 'Gro and Steve Ndare, specially),

I'm a poet/prosodist/teacher here three blocks from the muddy Trout River.  I love this town and my neighborhood.  I will be glad to rail against public education, the state of our roads, and people who speed through neighborhoods.  I am happy to give advice on buying a cheap house in my neighborhood, getting rid of crack houses (we've only had one and it was gone in 5 months! -- JSO did their job!), teaching, and poetry.  I also have some "ornamental pet urban poultry" that are definately not just chickens who lay eggs ;).  My two beautiful and brilliant daughters are fond of chasing the ornamental birds and the rabbits and our dog.

Also, my wife (Heather) is a doula and general Empress of women's health info -- I'll be happy to hawk her services any time.

Nice to be here and I hope that the arts board can be just a little more than a repository for 90s videos,
Michael

A proper New Year’s morning should always begin
with mimosas made from fresh-squeezed Florida oranges
and Moët Champagne to wash the taste of sin
and cigarettes away.

North Shore Poet...shall we go to the arts section?  I'll try to open a new thread for poetry and send you a few lines.
