Title: Add another "film" to the list of those set in Jacksonville.

The wife was watching an animated film on Netflix with our niece and noticed a familiar skyline.

The movie is called The Reef.

It's also a ripoff voiced by a bunch of celebrities that were C-list in 2006. So just skip to the 7 minute mark if you're curious yourself.

It was a South Korean production. I wonder how the Jacksonville skyline made its appearance?

When I read that earlier today I figured the animator a probably just looked at a map or globe and saw Jacksonville as one of the few named cities on the geographic path that fits the "plot" of the movie, and went with it. They probably didn't care or notice that the skyline is a ways inland.

That and it's probably one of the easier skylines to animate from a resource perspective.
