Active legislation.
Has anyone heard about this?
Defered today at the 7/15/14 Finance agenda meeting by the administration.
I know that a couple of the council members would like to fix the issues with the current procurement system. However, as this is coming from the current Procurement Chief and the Mayor's office, I am immediately suspect as to the real goal of this particular legislation. After all it is being supported by a Mayoral Administration that likes to promote people who have a track record of being unwilling or unable to follow the laws and policies as it is. Do these changes fix the real issues or do they make it easier for corruption to occur? It will be interesting to see what some of the Council members have to say about this.
