My experience with a CPAC goes back to 2005-207 and the Old Fuller Warren Bridge. I attended a series of CPAC meetings and I remember Don Redman being there and not even elected to city council but my experience was such that if something did come out of a CPAC it would eventually get forwarded to city council.
So that is why I started going to city council meetings. Eliminate the CPAC. What is different right now and everyone needs to immediately wrap their arms around is this CRA/DIA that is being drafted right now as this is being written. And in my opinion the Public and Economic opportunities that you perceive apply to our St. Johns River our American Heritage River a FEDERAL Initiative in our new super duper restricted (kayak, food truck) zone in fact DON'T. Pick and choose the winners and losers.
Next CRA/DIA in the USA PLan Update REVIEW Committee meeting is 5/29/14 at 3pm 1st floor city hall. Nobody goes.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the CRA Plan for Downtown.
sorry but they are two different things entirely...one is an advisory planning body, the other a statutorily mandated redevelopment agency
2013-384- Armory for a buck a year and zero access to Hogans Creek.
2014-412- Water taxi legislation. Unauthorized Purchase by Executive Branch defrauding the Legislative Branch.
2014-305- New Docking Rules and Penalties. Active legislation.
2014-306- New Procurement Rules- Active legislation.
2014-560- New CRA/DIA Authority Boundary. New 4.8 mile Waterfront zone. Active legislation.
2014-305 was taken up at the 8/20/14 DIA Board meeting and let's all cross our fingers that an amendment will be attached to this legislation that would allow a 10 minute commercial drop off and pick up on any existing or new dock, pier, kayak launch in this new 4.8 mile Waterfront zone that would create an immediate sustainable opportunity for everyone.
Let's all say Visit Jacksonville!
Waterways Commission meeting 11/12/14 at 9 am council chambers.

Has the super duper secret Downtown Docking zone map been shown in any media outlet other than MJ prior to a city council vote?

Is the super duper secret Downtown Docking zone map part of the CRA/DIA submission package to the state?
