Nice article. I usually go to Ramona on Sat, then Pecan Park on Sun .
Miss the Bargain House of Fleas on Blanding Blvd. Was a regular when I lived there. Sorry to see that one flea market charges admission. That is crazy. That's what they do up here in Richmond. I refuse to ever go to a flea market that charges admission. They are getting money from the vendors. I am not paying to shop. That's like charging admission to a mall. As Nancy Reagan would say, "Just say No!" :-)
Grew up going to both Beach Blvd and Pecan Park. One thing not really mentioned are some of the little differences you see at each flea market around town. Pecan Park is more "Southern", Beach Blvd has substantial Hispanic and Asian ethnic beats, Ramona tends to be one large yard sale, etc.
Best taco In the city is at beach blvd taco stand...el taco naco...yuummy
Drove by Beach Flea Market around noon yesterday on way back from beach. It was packed, even in 100 degree weather. So people love their Flea Market!
