Hanging out at Three Layers today, Shawn told us that the springfield hot spot will be expanding hours to serve lunch, and will be staying open all the way through, instead of closing daily from 11 to 5.
This should stop the unseemly spectacle of Springfield yuppies lining up outside the quaint little coffeehouse like applicants to a soup kitchen in soviet russia starting at 4:45 in the afternoon.
Good news. I am happy to see them doing well. They have a great product, a nice environment and good service - just what the neighborhood needed.

Did they have any idea about a menu?
That is the good news! PS. I too like the image of the baby jesus over say the image of an older jesus on the cross.
Three Layers is something we can all agree upon. I wonder what KIND of sandwiches. yummmm. Will we get to watch them make our lunch right there at the counter? (and it is a cool countertop).
Tuesday-Friday: 7 AM to 9 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 8 AM- 9 PM
They are now open all day and will soon be serving:
Focaccia bread/cheese
Fruit and bread trays
Salads
Soups
are you writing a book? no point of writing the book unless people see you writing it in the coffeehouse. :D
Stephen any news abut the upcoming art show at Three Layers? I received a press release and it looks like it is going to be pretty good!
Talking about setting up a domino's night at Three Layers.... if you are in the hood, or out of the hood but going to BE in the hood, or want to COME to the hood and join in throw out a good night, majority wins ;D
They're now serving lunch....beautiful and tasty salads and soups!
Menu items like "baby spinach, pear, fetta and walnut salad" and Organic field greens, strawberrys and champagne grape salads.
We will have two soup selections by the middle of next week...along with Jeff's English Muffin bread.
You just can't go wrong!
All lunches are prepared "to go" but can easily be enjoyed in the coffeehouse.
