Title: Shots fired in the wee hours of the morning?
Post by: MissMinda on April 19, 2014, 11:52:14 AM
Did anyone else hear gunfire around 12:30-1 am this morning? I can't find anything on the news, but I know it woke me up.

There were numerous shots/explosions/firecrackers, not just one.  Does a transformer blow multiple times?

I hear gunshots going off about twice a month, always on the weekends, like someone is shooting up in the air. They aren't firecrackers either and it doesn't come from the same direction every time. It's always around 1-2 AM.

It has become the norm now, but I don't call because they sound far away and wouldn't be able to tell an officer where it was.

Someone was shooting an automatic last fall for at least 30 minutes off and on. It sounded like a YouTube from Afghanistan. All I can say is they went through a lot of ammo.

Don't they know that they can get twenty years in prison for each shot fired under Florida's 10-20-Life mandatory sentencing laws?

I'm in the Ortega area and my power went out for about 15 minutes around that time.

We thought it was gun shots too. But, talked with a neighbor who stepped outside to take a look and saw fireworks.
