Awesome pics! According to actionnewsjax, One Spark is gonna announce a 'partnership' later today. It sounds like something pretty major.

Happy to contribute, Lake. Downtown was more alive than I've ever seen it in the past 6 years. If we could get just a few more big events similar to this (and Jazz Fest) spaced out over the year, that would be some serious rocket fuel.
Went 3 nights total. Rode the Skyway (from Kings) 2 nights, and my bike once from Riverside. Some people from out of town were commenting how nice the Skyway was & they wished it went further. Ugh, tell me about it. I swear if they would just extend it one stop each direction (Riverside Ave, the stadium & into San Marco) it would be a huge gain for downtown, plus make it so much more useful for everyone.

That would be perfect! One more stop in each direction, if you count the service station in Riverside. Maybe brooklyn redevelopment will warrant a stop in Riverside?
not to hijack this thread to talk about the Skyway....but....
did anyone learn a lesson this weekend? The Skyway is not designed to handle crushing crowds all at once....even larger rail systems in cities like Philly, DC, and ATL have trouble right after after sporting events....as such, extending it to the stadium may not be the best idea.
and btw, the Skyway logged 90,000 rides during the festival....roughly what the system gets averages in a month.
Great pics. Hate I missed it this year. Good point on the Skyway and crush loads, but great to see it being used.
Streetcar or LRT would make more sense to stadium. In terms of costs and capacity.
we saw "LittleLake" at his booth on Saturday...he was doing good!
it is great to see the skyway being utilized. we were excited to use the skyway but trying to get onto the skyway at the San Marco station on Saturday afternoon was not an easy task. the skyway was packed coming from King St station as well as heading to King St station to catch it before it looped around. the planning of utilizing the parking at the end of the lines was the appropriate strategy but those trying to catch the skyway at a middle station was nearly impossible. heard the same issue from a friend trying to catch the train at the strand/ peninsula station on Friday night.
we ended up driving over and parking 1 block from hemming in a free spot.
More great news for One Spark, as two partnerships were announced; The Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, and the Foundation Center which is based outta NYC. I'm so glad to see the continued success with One Spark. :)

The One Spark organizers said they expected to top 150k for this year's festival. I'm sure nobody thought 260k would show up. Great for all - even if there were some wait times on the Skyway. One top of the 90,177 trips - there was an additional 800 people that took a shuttle when there was a technical problem with the train. So in total it was closer to 91,000 in 4 1/2 days. As this festival continues to grow, I think the planning will also get a little tighter.
Kudos to everyone involved though - One Spark, JTA, the people who made Downtown alive again... great stuff!

externally they said 150,000, which was pretty conservative given that last year drew 130,000 with bad weather on several days....internally, they thought they could get over 200,000....but yes, I doubt even the biggest boosters expected more than 250,000 in year 2
