Has anyone in government suggested that the city investigate citywide open WiFi Service? It appears we are spending money doing it piecemeal in city facilities. schools, etc. Why not get bids from companies able to provide the service and perhaps administer it through JEA?
I think if you search the MJ archive, you will see that several efforts have been discussed and reviewed over the years.
Stephen (Dare) can also provide some feedback on this as well as I believe he was involved in some of the initial efforts.
