This is not a scam, if anyone would like they can contact me and I will explain.
I am a retired military man who is married and has an 8 year old son. My wife has a disease that has been controlling our lives ever since I have been retired. She has a disease called Addison's disease, which has caused her to be hospitalized anywhere from 4 to 8 months a year. She was recently released from the hospital and a doctor told us about a surgery that will help her live a normal life. A result of the Addison's disease is another disease call Gastric- Paresis this is the disease that continues to causes her hospitalizations, the surgery I mentioned is to place a pacemaker in her stomach to stimulate her stomach to work properly. Our insurance will not pay for this surgery as it is an experimental surgery. It is going to cost us anywhere from $30,000.00 to $40,000.00, this is money we do not have. I have started a web site called Gofundme, it is where people can give donations to help us out with this situation. My 8 year old adopted son cries every time his mom has to go into the hospital and it tears my heart out. I am asking PLEASE if you can help us out so that we can get this surgery and my wife can watch our son grow up. Thank You in advance. The link to the page is: http://www.gofundme.com/6rl734

2.) The NIH (National Institute of Health) website www.clinicaltrials.gov is reporting that a hospital in Norway is looking for trial subjects. I don't know if they will cover travel and family expenses, but it is worth checking out.

Some pharmas offer grants for people who cannot afford specialized disease treatment. I would see if any of the foundations are aware of which pharmas (for example GlaxoSmithKline, Bayer, Pfizer, etc.) are doing advanced research on medications for Addisons. They sometimes cover treatment costs in return for allowing them to trial a disease suppression or cure.
