Dear Times-Union Editor: Will you please be quiet, please? I have something to say. It's very important, so, please, turn down the music. Yes, I mean you, Mr. Editor. Turn it down!
Jeez! I can't stand Brahms. His Double Concerto for Violin is sickly sentimental. Ugh! Pretty much goes for all the Romantic composers — Berlioz, Chopin, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Schubert, Tchaikovsky .... Mawkish. But especially Brahms. He's the worst. Romantic music is so stupid, it's thug music.
They say "music soothes the savage beast." But this doesn't apply to Brahms. He does the opposite: he turns me into a savage beast.
Hey, just warning you: I'm licensed to carry, I'm carrying right now, and I'm ready to explode, especially when I hear Brahms.
I said TURN IT DOWN! ARE YOU DEAF? HEY! I'M TALKING TO YOU, A-SH—E! BRAHMS DRIVES ME BERSERK!! WHAT IS IT ABOUT "BRAHMS DRIVES ME BERSERK" THAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND? . . . .
