For all the foodies in Jacksonville, Biscottis has opened it doors after the fire last week. They were very quick to make repairs and I have been told the staff worked like mad men to get it in shape. Good luck to all those that work, eat and play there.

Thanks for the update Beth... oddly... it has been pretty quiet here about the fire and a possible reopening.

Really, how many people on the MJ board frequent Biscotti's? As compared to MM?
I am sure if it was newsworthy, Stephen would have reported it.
I eat at Biscotti's maybe 3-5 times a year. I knew they had a fire, ergo I wasn't exactly pining MJ for "news"...
I eat at biscottis all the time (despite disagreeing with the owner's position on competition by legislation) and realized there was a fire when I tried to go the other day and saw the sign in the window. I kinda knew all there was to know about it at that point, unless I want the bio of the electrican who's fixing the electric panel that went kaboom. Maybe MJ can do a front page story on him, you know, like where he went to high school, what he likes to do in his spare time, how he decided to be an electrician, does he have kids, what's his favorite food...?
What??? Stephen scooped?
The same day as the fire, the City approved the ability for Casbah and Biscottis to start serving LIQUOR in addition to their beer and wine or WHINE as it is on MJ. Should be interesting to see how the DUI patrols notice the increase in new beverage serving bars!
