Title: 2014-22 - FIND projects? Our tax money
Post by: Noone on January 10, 2014, 05:39:24 PM
Ready to be introduced at the next full meeting of the Jacksonville city council on 1/14/14

Noticed meeting of the Super Duper Secret FIND subcommittee of the Jacksonville Waterways Commission to be held 1/14/14 at 9:30 am on the 4Th floor of city hall. Full meeting of the Jacksonville city council just hours later. Maybe somebody will be getting a half a million dollar bonus. I digress.

Does anybody care?

This has to be positive.

What happened to the other FIND thread?
The 1/15/14 had jacksonville Waterway Commission members recognizing the bait and switch that is now being shown with our ad valorem property tax money. Shared this at the 1/15/14 full Board meeting of the DIA.
We are so LOST.
Palms Fish Camp- $1,200,000 and you never even open the door. Sign me UP!
RAM dock. Only open when RAM is open. Not good.
2013-384 - Armory for a buck and zero access to Hogans Creek.
My favorite- The Jim Love, Kevin Kuzel 26' Berkman floating dock compromise misrepresented by OGC during the 2013 FIND Grant Application process to our Waterways Commission. OUR PROPRTY TAX MONEY!
Still have a contest if anyone posts the new signage that was never before Waterways. Scott Wilson and Don Redman are aware of this.
What is the 24/7 Public Access and Economic Opportunity to the floating dock that is part of the $15,000,000 Sothbank Riverwalk project. Dist. 4 knows the answer.
The total crushing of the Public Trust.
Add your own.
There are more examples.

What will be the number one trick pony for the Waterways in our new highly restricted DIA zone? 2014-22 (our property tax money) is active legislation before the Jacksonville city council. I have an email in to my elected legislative representative.
This can only be positive.

What happened to the other thread on FIND? We are so LOST!
The noticed meeting to make up for the non noticed meeting for the SUPER 2014 FIND grant applications will be at 9:30am in council chambers. Our property tax money.
The total crushing of the PUBLIC TRUST in Jacksonville.
This is nothing but POSITIVE.
Seriously, did anyone participate in the process this year? I've asked my elected legislative and they couldn't tell me of a meeting and they haven't participated. Scott Wilson, feel free to jump in here.
At the 1/14/14 full meeting of the Jacksonville Waterways Commission meeting Tara Meeks announced that Capt. Jim Suber is looking at an RFP for the Waterways Downtown. So what is that?
So another year goes by. One day out from another great meeting of the LOST.
2010-604 -Shipyards we have all given up asking you know who about you know what.
Definitely put me down for my favorite. the Jim Love, Kevin Kuzel Berkman floating dock compromise 26' misrepresented by OGC during the 2013 FIND grant application process to Waterways. Who should be disbarred?
RAM dock only opened when RAM is open. Not good.
2013-384- Armory for a buck and zero access to Hogans Creek
Shipyards III ask Paul Crawford, Tony Allegretti, Scott Wilson or better yet just Pull the tape.
$15,000,000 Southbank Riverwalk and the floating dock. Anybody contact Don Redman and ask about the 24/7 Public Access and economic opportunity for this spontaneous, organic node, that could provide a spark of cluster activity in a dead zone.

When the weather breaks who wants to go fishing under the brand new No Fishing signs that was never before Waterways?

I am Downtown and why you aren't.

Who's next?

What happened to the other FIND thread?
Let's all remember FIND is good. Jacksonville is LOST.

What happened to the other FIND thread? I know, it got LOST?
Special meeting of the full Jacksonville Waterways Commission just 3 days out on 2014-22 and the bait and switch of two projects that was caught by councilwoman Lori Boyer Dist.5 at the secret FIND meeting to make up for the non noticed meetings of the great LOST that took place 1/15/14.

Still have an open contest if you can identify the signage in our DIA zone that was never before Waterways. I'll treat you to Chopstick Charley's and we'll use Uber. Seriously.

The Public Trust continues to be totally crushed in this community.

Ben - JCCI we need to kayak Downtown before 2025

Visit Jacksonville!

This FIND thread to make up for the LOST FIND thread. It's somewhere along a Trail.
One day out from another Super Duper meeting of the great Lost to make up for another great year of unnoticed meetings and Backroom deals.

My question is are the Backroom deals of last year greater than the Backroom deals of this year? Just pull the tape.

Meeting is 1/29/14 and this is a combination of two separate meetings. Scott Wilson and Don Redman were instrumental in setting up this special meeting. Open to the Public. At least this one. Scott feel free to jump in here at any time on this. 1st meeting is at 9am and the second will immediately follow. 2014-22 will be discussed. 2013-380 will also be discussed.

$100,000's of thousands of dollars at stake if not millions. Our property tax money. Public Access and Economic Opportunity for everyone. Yeah Right!!!

Visit Jacksonville!!!

Paul Astleford is a hero.
Ben- JCCI, we need to kayak Downtown before 2025.

D-Downtown
I-Is
A-Access

Right now it's raining, temp. is dropping, its nasty out. But when the weather breaks who wants to provide a spark, make a scene, do a Vivian Harrell Bluebag cleanup in the spirit of KJB. Environmental Ethics (Vince Seibold) and we'll kayak and fish under the brand new No Fishing signs that was never before Waterways. I'm All In.

Special shout out to anyone running for political office.

Who's next?

I'd say just wait for what should be a very inquisitive full Jacksonville city council meeting. I'll post the details somewhere else. Too bad the old FIND thread is LOST.

Does any other moderator know what happened to the old FIND thread? There was a project substitution that was taken off the 2014 FIND grant application list 2014-22 that will now go to a full city council vote. Exchange Club Island a million dollar trick pony?

Is the old FIND thread still LOST? Today 2/4/14 2014-22 our property tax money FIND projects will be in two committees Finance and RCD. Open to the Public.

The state of Florida and every resident of Jacksonville should be standing up and cheering for the Jim Love, Kevin Kuzel, 26' Berkman Floating Dock Compromise (Shipyards III) misrepresented by OGC during the 2013 FIND grant application process.

What a Brilliant compromise and a super follow up by JWC member and city councilwoman Lori Boyer Dist. 5

What happened to the old FIND thread? We are so LOST.
I attended the 2/4/14 Finance and RCD meetings that had 2014-22 on the agenda. Our FIND projects.

At the agenda meeting for Finance I was recognized by Finance Chair Greg Anderson and after the agenda meeting I was approached by OGC and going forward all I can think about is Honey Boo Boo. it's not complicated!

At the full Finance meeting 2014-22 was advanced with no discussion or Public comment.

At the agenda meeting for RCD chaired by Councilman Crescimbeni there was no discussion. At the full meeting of RCD 2014-22 was advanced. Councilman Love put in dibbs for next year on a project for Memorial Park and councilman Jones put in a dredge request for McCoys Creek. Councilman Crescimbeni did allow for Public Comment at the end of the meeting and after the vote.

5 years later and still don't have a sponsor to take to the commissioners of FIND for a project that would tell the world to VISIT JACKSONVILLE!

Point of order?
This resolution 2014-22 is ready for the 2/11/14 Jacksonville city council meeting. Because this involves our ad valorem property tax money should there be a Public Hearing before the vote?

Anyone want to take a WAG at this. Ready for a full Jacksonville city council vote in 4 days.

One day out from a full vote by the Jacksonville city council on 2014-22 our FIND money. $100's of 1000's of dollars of our property tax money. Point of order. Should there be a Public Hearing because of the money involved? I can't tell you of one meeting that Joe Q Public had an opportunity to participate in especially for the 2014 FIND grant application process. According to my elected legislative representative he did not know or attend any Public meeting either. We are so LOST.
