I've been curious to know what would be necessary for Jacksonville to support a World Trade Center and wether or not we would benefit from a facility like this.
Anyone have a take on this?
An excerpt from the World Trade Center Administration website...
http://world.wtca.org/portal/site/wtcaonline/
QuoteA World Trade Center brings together businesses and government agencies involved in foreign trade. It is a one-stop trade information hub where an international business person is offered the full range of services such as market research, WTCA OnLine, trade shows & exhibit space, business services, trade education, group trade missions and WTC clubs.
Would the incorporation of a World Trade Center into the convention center and transit hub make sence for Jacksonville?
Turns out Jacksonville already has one...

We have one, according to wtca.org.
It's part of the Chamber, on Independent Drive.
(oops... you beat me to it...)
Here is the website...

There is loads of great information on that site.
Yeah, it even says it on the Chamber's building. You can see it pretty plainly when you're crossing into DT on the Main Street Bridge, as I now recall.
Intresting website. Unilever is building an huge distribution hub here in Jax according to their news section
^ I saw that too. The site is pretty well loaded. I wonder why it isn't mentioned much?
