Title: UNF buys warehouse to make way for art students on campus
Post by: Tacachale on December 02, 2013, 11:18:21 PM
Here's some recent UNF building news. The school is converting the current facilities storage space on the main campus to be used for art and engineering projects. Facilities storage is being moved off campus to a recently purchased warehouse on Central Parkway.

Jcjohnpaint can probably give some more info on the project, but speaking as someone who used to help with trash-art sculptures in the walkway beside the Fine Arts Center, this should be a nice addition to the campus.

This is great news, but we really need the whole building.  From what I understand, the building might be shared by an auto club based in the Engineering Dept.

Our sculpture professor Jenny Hager really made this happen.  She desperately needs space so bad for her program and for our department to reach accreditation.
