Poll
Question: Should an amendment be attached to 2013-384 for a kayak launch and bike rack?
Option 1: Yes
Option 2: No
Title: 2013-384 an amendment for 24/7 Public Access to Hogans Creek
Post by: Noone on November 17, 2013, 06:48:38 PM
This is an active piece of legislation before the Jacksonville city council. The sponsor is Kimberly Daniels and she has said to wait until it is passed by the city council before considering such a request.

The applicants after the Public hearing 6/25/13 told me they could support such an amendment. This is the armory Downtown and they are looking to control the whole thing for a $1 a year for 10 years.

I'd say yes for an amendment that would provide immediate Public Access 24/7 and a bike rack at this location.

Absolutely. access to Hogan's Creek should be made available by way of this property and it should be attached to this amendment, as well as a  Bike Rack.  The citizen's of Duval county should be rewarded for their generosity, not locked out.
