Great article. Agree with BT on the usual gaggle of those commenting.  You know if I really felt that negatively about where I lived, Damned if I would stay there... Hint..Hint...  ::)

I have said for years that Jacksonville is the largest small town you will ever find. While it may have some drawbacks, it isn't always a bad thing.

Definitely an "advertisement" written by someone who works in the housing or tourism industry?  LoL

I agree Jax has a nice "small town" feel.  But I have to say that most cities in the 1-2 million person range have that nice small town feel where they offer amenities and have a few big city problems, but the pace is slowww and the mentality is small town (and it feels like everyone knows everyone else...and they're super proud of their town), and cute little neighborhoods abound and there is no traffic between them.  I LOVE Nashville and Milwaukee for these same reasons.  Add St. Louis to the list.
