Title: New traffic pattern in Arlington?
Post by: Jaxson on November 07, 2013, 08:09:39 PM
I noticed that there will be a new traffic pattern where the Arlington Expressway meets University Boulevard.  I see the signs and the work but there is nothing in the news or on the Internet.  Does anybody have any info?

Yeah, there was a public meeting about it a few weeks ago at that little church in Clifton.
As part of the DOT replacing the University Blvd. bridge over the Arlington River, they are also going to change a couple of the ramps on University, just south of the expressway. From the info they had at the meeting, they will remove the ramp from southbound University to the eastbound x-way.  The roundabout will allow that traffic to get on the eastbound service road in front of the little strip center. The ramp from the Mathews Bridge to Clifton will be changed a little to tie into the roundabout.

A roundabout.  Nice.  Thanks for the update!  I missed the meeting due to a schedule conflict...
