Jeff Speck was the closing speaker at the 2012 APA Florida Conference.  He had originally hoped his new book (The Walkable City) would have been out by then but it was delayed a few months.  After his talk, Jeff led a group of about 20 (including me) on a mini-charrette of a redevleopment area in Naples.  It was great to work with him, even for just a few hours.

how to redevelop a triangle area surrounded by 2 six-lane state arterials....ee decided there was no good way to make  these roads be truly pedestrian oriented, so we instead designed the project to face an inner public space....kind of like Mizner Park in Boca Raton
