Jacksonville Farmers Market Celebrates 75 Years

Many believe that Jacksonville is a community that lacks a marketable attraction. The type of unique and enjoyable travel destination that helps a city create a name for itself. Just west of downtown, we already have that type of destination in the Jacksonville Farmers Market.
This weekend, the Jacksonville Farmers Market is celebrating 75 years of serving the First Coast in the form of a three-day Anniversary Celebration & Fall Festival filled with family-friendly activities, entertainment, and food, creating an ideal opportunity for the greater community to explore this special local landmark.

I had an Urban Core Bold tactical silo kayak paddle reschedule in our DIA/CRA in the USA highly restricted zone that will now allow me to add a spark and Make a Scene in this 75 year celebration.
I love First Coast Connect :)
Was at the Farmers market and not only supported local but got a wave and a smile from Melissa Ross as she was broadcasting live. She is truly a Jacksonville treasure.
Sorry I couldn't stay longer but did hear the USS Adams guys promoting their event at the Shipyards today at 5:30. This is one of the biggest and most positive events and ultimate Destination activity in the state of Florida. Anyone going?

Thanks MJ for the nice review of our 75th Anniversary Celebration. We invite all MJ readers to our Saturday and Sunday celebration consisting of food truck rally, music, Jacksonville Jaguars (ROAR cheerleaders, football toss, obstacle course, free ticket and prize giveaways), kids zone (ponies, bounce house, slide, face painting, balloons), classic cars, exhibits & more. Of course, great shopping for fresh, healthy, local foods at savings to 70+%! Check us out.
Great photo tour.
It has come a long way even in the last five years.
The change occurred when the market was rebuilt a few years back. Before then, it simply existed. Now, there's an actual effort to market it as an actual destination.
Great tour, I love their mangos.

Great crowd at the Market today. I really believe that this place is a great asset to the community.
Am I crazy? Or would it be awsome to have an on site fish farm?

Love markets..but i really wish there were local stuff...a tiny amount is local but the rest is from all over the world...
It's about as local as things can get. We don't grow everything in this particular region.
Went out to the market Saturday. Very big crowd and lots to see. Juniors Seafood has a nice selection of fresh, local seafood, not frozen.
Was there yesterday, it was packed! The blow-up houses were on the outside, nice music inside, great crowd. Going back today for pumpkins. Paid less than 20 bucks for items that would have run 50 bucks in the grocery store.
