I was adopted here in Duval County in 1963 by my Canadian parents. My dad was on an exchange posting to NAS back then. I was only a few months old. So for some reason fate has brought this Legal Immigrant back to a city from long ago. I knew I liked Jax the day I first visited in 05. I loved the river walk area and it reminded me of Calgary Alberta Canada in that regard.
We moved here on Super Bowl Sunday in 05 and thank God we didn't move into Arlington or any area around where they were holding the bowl events.
We picked Mandarin to start our time here in an apartment so that we could look the whole city over and pick our home. Now we live in Julington Creek andmy wife loves it here, she's originally from Alabama.
It is a great place and we are happy to be a part of it. Now if the mortgage values will start going back up please then all will be well and good.
;D
Welcome to the forum....and welcome back to Jax!
Welcome home! And real estate will come back. As sure as the sun rises. :)
