Title: Breaking News- Bikes Allowed on Skyway
Post by: fieldafm on October 04, 2013, 03:27:43 PM
As some of you may know, JTA runs the Skyway during Community First Saturdays (first Saturday of the month along the Northbank Riverwalk behind the Times Union Center for Performing Arts).

Tomorrow, JTA will allow bikes on the Skyway for one day as sort of a 'test case' to see how they will work.

Get on this!!!!!!!

JTA has the pilot program planned for each Community First Saturday, not just tomorrow. Unless, and until they change their mind. 1,000 rides on these days versus 4-5k on the weekdays. So its a little safer to try it out and see how it works, what the bikers think, what the non-bikers think, etc.

Make sure you give your feedback on the JTA Facebook page. That way they know what you think about the idea.
