I've never been to Karam's but the pictures/description sound like it is outstanding. Also, Lupita's is very good. I stopped there several times when I worked off of Arlington Expressway.

And so it seems that I may venture outside of my normal realm of hole in the wall restaurants to explore a few more... 

This is becoming one of my favorite series on the site!

I know many people who go nuts for Karam's. Been there many times. I just don't get what the fuss is about...the meats are pretty dry, the sides are all microwaved right in front of your face, the pita is stale, and the pies are (seemingly...as I've had the same one at other places in town) mass produced.

Just got back from Lupitas... good stuff... showed the woman owner this page... she liked it!  8)

Just #2 lunch platter... will do a full blown meal sometime tho...

Thanks TheCat - sorry I missed it that edition "hole in the wall".  Honestly that cali burrito from Lupitas is 2+ meals and SO very good.
