Every year all elected officials in Florida are required to submit a "Financial Disclosure Form". This form breaks down the official's assets, liabilities and sources of income. It's purpose is to keep officials transparent about where their monetary interests exist.

If Kim Daniels is a millionaire, so too is half of America....you don't count a life insurance policy as an asset...unless you plan on killing the holder of the policy.

She takes out a life insurance policy on every demon before she exorcises it.  It's a brilliant little scheme.

But that's not even the weirdest issue.  She is claiming 8,000 Iraqi Dinars.  She bought into that little scam and claims it.

Wonder if Matt Shirk would claim his Whisky River tabs as "Recruitment Expenses".

It depends, life insurance can have a cash value, which is considered an asset. It looks like the insurance industry wants people to consider Life Insurance an asset, of course.

The Iraqi dollars... :-[ . I don't know. I find it disheartening.

I'm still trying to figure our Joost's disclosure. As far as I can tell he does not go into detail about where his income comes from. There is enough information there to make assumptions but I don't see it detailed like the rest of the members. He's labeled $900,000 as "other income".

Then there's Brown who hasn't filed in a few years. The actual penalty for not filing is $25.00 dollars per day up to $1,500.  He's been fined $125. It's purposeful disregard to not file the financial disclosure.

Joost owns 11% of Firehouse Subs.  I'm guessing that's where a lot of it is coming from.

What really is the value of this?  Any public official who is going to be involved in graft and corruption is not going to create a valid financial disclosure and attest to their own guilt.  Any same, under probable cause, can have their financial records subpoenaed.  It reeks of political voyeurism.  How is it constitutional to demand someone's personal papers because they may commit an as yet undetermined crime sometime in the future?

Agreed.  I have never understood what this accomplishes.
