"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth."
I agree with the idea that the sun and the moon cannot be long hidden. But the very existence of churches and revealed religions and gods in the minds of men proves that the truth can be hidden for thousands of years from the followers of these imaginary systems, fabricated from the minds of deluded men. ;)

Aaaah a bit of wise, sage advice. I like that.
I'll pass. I like to do my shopping/errands while all of the religious folks and football fans are otherwise occupied.

JayBird, Ben says, and ronchamblin I invite you all three to a Church of your choice this coming Sunday September 15th 2013. Open your hearts and ask God for forgiveness. In Jesus name Amen! p.s. See you this Sunday if you're really open minded individuals?
More like...
JayBird, Ben says, and ronchamblin, I invite you all three to
your own church of your choice in whatever you believe in or not this coming Sunday September 15th 2013
or never in the future or in the past. Open your hearts
to the people you love and ask
-insert anything you believe in or not- for forgiveness. In
-insert whatever the name you wish to be- Amen (Ancient Egyptian word)! p.s. See you this Sunday
or not even if you're really
already open minded individuals

Did you know that your technique of trying to praise the words of Jesus Christ is contradicting your overall mission? Try again in another new, refreshing way :)
This is one of the biggest challenges with the churches today, because they don't know how to be open-minded with their community. Trust me, I have been to plenty of churches in my lifetime, and it doesn't help when each church continues to be localized to its core group of people that would morph its church into that style, niche, or sub-culture that would alienate few members. Once some of those members leaves for another different church, or not even attend the churches anymore, the entire cycle comes to its full complete circle.
Trust me, there are better way to introduce your gospel in an intelligent and approachable way that some people would find the time to be willing to listen.

A lot of Churches now days have services at 8:30am so you could still go, then do your shopping/errands. God would like to see you this Sunday September 15th 2013. :)
Ahh, but then I'll almost definitely miss CBS Sunday Morning. Can god just watch me when I'm sleeping, and when I'm awake, or whatever? Or is that Santa Claus?

Why thank you, IILY, as a matter of fact I will, just as every other Sunday that I'm in Jax (since 2002) be at the 8am mass at Immaculate Conception.

You do not have to attend a church in order to have an open heart, to ask forgiveness, to live your life as a Christian, or to believe in God (or whatever name one wishes to use) Church, in my opinion is for those who feel the need to be there. I, for one, do not. Church is within oneself.

Good for you Springfielder! But here is what Going to Church means to me. It's fellowship cult-like, you get to be around other people that make you feel at home have all drank the kool-aid that we refer to as Jesus' blood while still waiting to ascend to heaven. :) The reason I talked about forgiveness and open ones heart was for Ben says and Ronchamblin so you will forgive me as I blindly follow an ancient text that believes opening another's heart is OK if they did it to someone first; eye for an eye and all that jazz. It was my mistake to put JayBird with these other gentlemen. ;)
Fixed!

Josh September 15th 2013 is National Back To Church Day. I invite you to find a local church that can bring you back to the real teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. ;)

^Yes, that is my name and I have the character to stand behind my own commentary by using my full name. When you start doing the same feel free to offer your opinions on my views. If you can't do that, do me a favor and hit the block button on your forum page so you do not see my posts any longer because I seriously have no intention of further engaging your views which frankly make no damn sense as edified above. By the way, please don't pray for me either. Just the thought kinda creeps me out. I am not one to suffer a fool for very long, especially one that snipes at others religious views or lack there of yet hasn't the integrity to do so using their own name. I think this is a game you have perfected to amuse yourself and I am done playing it. Comprende?

It most definitely all good, and it's tricky to navigate these subjects that have groups of people at each extreme.
A slippery slope indeed, but when it all shakes out at the end....

Sometimes people are just childish, and when this is pointed out to them instead of just accepting and moving on with life they believe they can travel back in time, delete their opinions and then continue on living in their Neverland fantasy world. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those people for the entertainment they provide me.
P.S. - It really doesn't matter if you delete when others hav already quoted it ;)

It would appear that the person who started this thread and then used to tell others they should come to God according to their own views and timing (9/15), when being confronted with the fact that most of their preachy and judgemental posts made no sense, chose to delete most of them. That has made the entire thread really disjointed. However I see that the onslaught of religiosity has begun anew driven by the same source, still however posting under a screen name so it really does call into question the sincerity of the poster and their need to preach of
God and Jesus. In my view the recent postings indicate a new level of desperation that is really a bit unsettling.
