Tried Publix, the NEX, drugstores, Books-A-Million, haven't been able to find the magazine. Only place I know of for sure is the airport. I haven't checked Barnes and Nobles yet, but I'd really rather not drive 15 miles just for light reading. Sucked it up and just got a print subscription (hated reading it on Kindle) but estimated first issue isn't untl November.
Barnes at the Town Center definitely carries the Economist. Sometimes it's by the registers, and sometimes it's in the first magazine rack near the Atlantic, Harpers, Foreign Affairs, etc. Not sure where you got your print sub, but Slick Deals and Discount Mags occasionally have really great deals on the Economist and the Bloomberg mags.
I'll bet the Five Points Newsstand carried it.

Only when they had naked women on the cover. ;D
its a expensive subscription being a British mag and released weekly, but its a good read. for the most part they stay pretty neutral, which is pretty rare currently.

Actually they did, they carried just about every magazine in print it seemed, that was a great loss but even I read most mags on the iPad now. Changing of the times. But hey, ordering the subscription is great, it is a good mag and I am sure the US Postal Service sends their thanks for adding to the IV Drip ;)
We are long-term subscribers, but I think we found that the Jacksonville Public Library's new programs of having magazines available free through Zinio had the digital version of the Economist. http://jaxpubliclibrary.org/res/db/zinio.html
I have a print/digital subscription and have found the digital version great on the iPad. I'm also a huge fan of the audio version released each issue with the digital subscription. It's nice while traveling or in the office for a long clip to have the option of listening to The Economist.
